Finding Shelter: Animal Rescue

Today at the Radnor Township dog park there was an amazing group of people. The group - Finding Shelter - was showcasing their not for profit organization. The organization was started in January of this year, and is a no-kill foster based rescue operation. The inspiration for this group has its roots in a young chihuahua named sprout. Sprout is blind and was left to die in a road gutter. Seeing this poor animal the group's leader Grace Kelly took sprout into her care and from there Finding Shelter was born. Since their founding in January of 2010 the group has rescued 35 animals, and have adopted out about 20 of their rescues. They continue to work with local shelters including the SPCA. Although they are doing this amazing work, they are still looking for fosters to take in rescued animals; certainly a noble cause.
